Christmas Day

Daddy, Mommy and Little Guy would like to wish everyone

a very Merry Christmas....

This year for christmas we stayed home. This was different because since the year we were engaged we have gone away. In the morning we did gifts with my parents, then we went to my brothers house for dinner and gifts with them. It was a long day, but a lot of fun. Thankfully my sister in law is always prepared and even had a swing for Little Guy to be in:) He loves the swing so it was great!!!! Here are some pictures of our day:)

Wow!! This toy is so cool...

I would like to thank Mommy and Daddy, Grandma and

Grandpa and Jesus for everything that He has given to me.

Ahhhh...its so nice to sit up and look around. This is the best seat ever!

What can I say...little guy can melt anybody's heart with that cute face.

Santa Was Here!!!

On Saturday we went and saw Santa Clause!!! We don't believe it Santa but look at more as like a fairy tale, such as Cinderella or Mickie Mouse. So when the chance arose to get some pictures and help some teens go raise money to go on a missions trip we went. So here are the pics:)

Our Trip

Well we have been back for almost a 2 weeks, but we have been very busy! It was a wonderful trip, and we were able to spend some time with our dear friends.

So lets start from the beginning:)
This is a pic of Little Guy sleeping during the flight:)

This was Little Guy's first flight so they let us take a pic of him in the cokpit:) He just woke up so he was not too happy!!!

Our flight left at 8am and we live about an hour from the airport so we were up at 4am so we could be ready to leave at 5! Wow that was early!!! We got the airport and were able to bypass the security line because Little Guy was in a stroller:) We were bumped up to the front of the line and did not have to wait. Amen!!!

Little Guy was wonderful on the plane and slept most of the time in the sling:) When we arrived at Edmonton we were met by the missionaries we stayed with and started our trek to our first stop in our ride to our finial destination. We slept at a friends house and then up in the morning for more travailing. Thankfully we only had 4 hours to go:)

The weather was wonderfully cold:) The coldest it got was -24C

Little Guy loved it:)

This trip was to be a fast one. On Sunday we were able to show part of our work to the people at the church. Daddy was unable to show our presentation due to the fact that his computer was not working. Satan did not get his way though; Daddy was able to do it verbally again. (He is getting good at being without pics to help him:)) We had wonderful fellowship at the dinner that was prepared for all the members of the church, and great food:) Then we had an early evening (afternoon) service. We spent the rest of the day out taking pictures of the town and people.

This was at the mall! Unlike we are used, to the mall closes at 5pm on the weekends! Another thing that we have to get used to is the price difference. It was almost $8 for a chicken strip meal!!!

On Monday we were on the road again. This time it was a test of my faith:) The roads were icy and many times I was unable to see anything in front of us (thankfully I was not doing the driving). But to God be the glory we arrived without injury to the town where we feel the Lord is leading us to live. The fellowship there was equally as sweet.
Here are some of the children at the church:)

We slept over there, and woke up early for our 5 hour ride to the airport (another nail biting ride) Our first flight was great, and without any trouble. But our next flight was something else. We had about 20 minutes to get to the other plane. So we rushed to the other terminal only to be the last people on the plane. We made it to the runway and then had to turn around and go back. We sat in the plane for 3 hours. There was something technical wrong in the cockpit and then we had to wait for new flight attendants. When we finally arrive at our airport we found out that 2 pieces of our luggage was still in Minnesota. One piece that was left was Little Guy's car seat. Thankfully the airport provided a car seat so we could go home. We arrived at home at 4am on Wednesday morning. I was able to sleep during the day whenever Little Guy took a nap but Daddy and Grandma had to work all day:( Grandma and Grandpa picked us up from the airport so they were equally as tired) Well that is the run down of our trip; the good, the bad, and the blessings:)

A Busy Week

WOW, already I have had a busy week. On Friday we will be heading out to the airport at 5am to go to Canada. Daddy and I are very excited to get there. Our hearts are for the people of Canada, and love to be with them.
This will be the first time I do any real travailing with Little Guy so if anyone has any advice I will gladly take it:) Packing has been trying because we live in the south were it is still nice and warm, and Little Guy has never been where it is cold. Thanks to Grandma (Daddy's Mommy:)) Little Guy has a cozy snow suit. (Pictures will follow the trip). We tried the suit on him and he looks so cute.
Well I better go and get some sleep:)

Giving Thanks

This blog comes with no pictures, Sorry to both the Grandmas:)

I wanted to take the time to count some of the blessing that God has given to me.
My Hubby
God has given me a great Godly man as my Husband. I don't know what I would do without him. He is such a help with our Little Guy; I know I would be able to be the mom I need to be without him!
My Parents
Right now we are living with my parents. It can be trying at times since we have two families under one roof, but all in all it is good. It is a big blessing to be able to live here. We have a house that we are trying to sell and we are starting deputation, so it is a big help. They also help with Little Guy. I think that it is more for their sake that they always offer to hold him:) I love the fact that already he is forming a great relationship with them.
My In Laws
Although we live far away from each other they are a great blessing. I am praying that we will be able to see them for Christmas. They are wonderful parents and great grandparents.
My Church & Pastor
I believe that we go to a wonderful church. There we are able to be fully involved in many ministries, and we know that our Pastor will be preaching from the true Bible. We also have been able to make some wonderful Christian friends.
My Salvation
This is the biggest blessing. Without my Lord I would be lost in every sense of the word. To know that no matter what I can always turn God means more to me then I can put into words.

Well thanks for letting me ramble on. I pray that you all will have a blessed Thanksgiving:)

Missions Conference

This year at our church's missions conference Daddy was able to present our mission work:) This was our first meeting, and it went very well! For those of you who do not know, we are missionaries to Canada. We went on a survey trip at the end of last March and then came home to pray about it. On Easter Sunday we made our decision public that God had called us to the mission field.

After that we went through the process of choosing a mission board. After finding one that we were happy with and got accepted we then had to get everything together. We had to make a board, get prayer cards, make a presentation, and get pictures together. It was a lot of work:) I never knew how much work it was to be a missionary. But it was also a lot of fun:)

Here are a few pictures of the week:)
Fully Persuaded was the theme of the conference. To God be the glory over 46 people were saved and one family in our church gave their lives to full time service!
This is our board! There is a top piece that goes on the top, but that will have our name on it.

This is a picture of Daddy talking about work.
I hope you will pray for us as we start on the deputation road. We are planning to be done with deputation and in Canada in 2010, Lord willing. Please pray that we are able to do that. We are also going on to Canada at the end of this month. We will be there for 5 days and hope to get better pictures for our display. We are also looking forward to seeing the people there, as that is where our hearts are. I will be sure to post pictures of our trip:)

Carnival

On Oct. 31 I took Little Guy to a church carnival. Although we do not celebrate Halloween I could not resist this cute bull outfit. It was only $2.50 at babies r us the day before we went. Little Guy, Grandma, and I went, Daddy had to work. I do believe that Mommy and Grandma had more fun:)Here we got to see a turtle that was bigger then Little Guy!

This was our attempt to get a picture of Little Guy on a pony:)

And the last picture of us by the goats:)

Our Little One

Here is a picture of our Little Guy:) This is him at 1 month. This week he is two months old. I could not understand it when people would say how fast their children grow up, but now I think I do. It is hard for me realize that it has already been 8 weeks since he was born. He is now making some really cute faces and no longer looks like a newborn. He brings such joy to my husband and I. We truly feel blessed to have this wonderful gift that God has given to us!

My First One!!!!

Welcome to my blog:) I was trying to think of a good way for all of our friends and family to keep up with what is happening with our family. My sister-in-law has a blog and I always enjoy reading it. So, I thought I would make a blog of my own.
This blog will contain anything that is a "milestone" in my son's life. He will be known to as "Little Guy", I will be known to as "Mommy" and my husband as "Daddy". This is for safety reasons. This blog will also have little things that mean something to me.
Well, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy making it:)
